Bethany also had an amazing sense of style. I loved her wardrobe! Together, we were able to create some really cute photos that show her sparkling personality.
After our shoot at Highbanks, we headed to downtown Delaware to do a more urban/fashion mood. We found a gorgeous mosaic wall to pose in front of. We had a lot of fun making her portrait session unique.
Tyler's parents contacted me and knew right away that they wanted to have his senior portraits taken there. Although none of the photos were taken indoors, we were able to create a studio-like atmosphere with the use of the garage textured walls and a Westcott Ice Light. We also used off camera flash for portraits with his truck. His truck was the one prop that he really wanted to include to make his portraits personal to him.
Without further ado, here is a sampling of Tyler's senior portraits, representing the class of 2016.
The mom-to-be is also a children's librarian, so it was really special that she selected a few of her favorite children's books to read to her baby. We await this little bundle to arrive in October!
]]>We were very lucky and got some lovely magical light as sunset drew near.
The children were so adorable and fun to work with- happy and full of energy. The oldest boy kept striking a pose next to everything that he could find- it was hilarious. I really enjoyed holding my first Facebook contest. It was exciting to keep tabs on every day, and I love that it resulted in these adorable photos.

I took an online real-time course with the very talented Matt Kennedy. He is an excellent teacher, and he taught me some light-writing techniques that I am forever grateful for. For those interested, his course is available for purchase, and I highly recommend it. It can be found here: http://photographers.mattkennedy.ca/index.html#/sparklers/ .
Late on the night of Bill and Carla's wedding, we stepped outside on the grounds for the shot. I'm not going to lie- it took a couple of takes, but the end result was worth it! The photo even got a mention on BuySparklers.com, where I purchased the extra-long sparklers for this very purpose. Their sparklers burned for 1 1/2 minutes each, allowing me plenty of time to achieve the photograph.

If you would like a "light writing" photograph on your wedding day with sparklers, ask me how to add this into your wedding package!
